About Me

I’m a Mass Communications fresh graduate who just started her first job, and I simply adore the Regency period, romance and Jane Austen! I fell in love with the Regency period when I first saw Pride and Prejudice in 2006. Since then, I’ve come to love everything about it and as a natural consequence, fell in love with romance novels set in that time period! I’ve since expanded my love to include the whole of the 18th and 19th century set romance novels. I have an obsession for old-fashioned things and love collecting antique/vintage items, be them clothes, jewelry or ornaments! I also love period dramas, especially ones produced by the BBC 😀

I spend most of time reading HR books, naturally, but I also spend alot of time dreaming up adventures that involve sexy men in breeches and Hessian boots! Who knows, maybe one day, I’ll write my very own historical romance novel…

    • I can try to help but I can’t promise anything 🙂 Tell me a bit about this book! And by the way, thanks for commenting 🙂 Makes me glad to see people are enjoying my site!

  6. thank you..okay so from what i remember the story is about a Lady who wished to be free and to see and do things that a Lady can’t do….so she disguise herself *now this is where the memory get a little funny* iam not sure if she disguise herself as a boy or just disguise herself to be a beautful Lady and attended a masquerade ball alone..this is where she meet him…something happen and they in up in a small box/closet space(very small space) causing them to be in a very intimate position..somehow they got out and free, but her brother/brothers found out about it and damanded that a marriage proposal is a must…and unlike other book a the gentleman would do so because of the Lady reputation…but nooo this guy refuse such a thing and he was saying very wicked things to get out of it…than i have to leave and never had a change to come back and finished the book 😦 😦

i hope this help if i remember anything i’ll email you 🙂

    • Hmmm, the only story I could come up with to vaguely fit that description is ‘Duchess by Night’ by Eloisa James. Heroine goes to a masquerade ball dressed as a man and meets the hero. Have a looksie and let me know if it’s the one!

  12. Hi there:

Hope this isn’t too off-topic, but I’m a romance reader, aspiring author, and dollmaker who’s into all things Scottish (who doesn’t love a hot guy in a kilt, right?) Anyway, I’ve been playing around with a line of Highlander dolls for the ladies who, like me, love Scottish romances. If you like them, would you mind sharing the link with your friends and/or followers? I’ll do custom, too–hair color, eye color, etc. Sorry if you think this is spam, but I really think (hope) romance readers might love them. https://www.etsy.com/shop/NinaMasonDolls (click on the Highland Hunks section) or ninamasondolls.blogspot.com.

    • I’ll see what I can do 🙂

  13. I’m a new writer. Well, not so new, since I’ve written two novels and a novella. But new in the sense that my first book will be published in late 2013. It’s called Alias Thomas Bennet and it’s set in the Regency era in England, inspired by Pride and Prejudice. My favourite authors are Jane Austen and Tessa Dare. Like me on my author page!

    • Sure thing 🙂

  14. What a great blog! I am a huge Jane Austen fan and discovered Mary Balogh a year or so ago. Now that I am caught up on her novels, I was looking for more similar to her and luckily found your blog. Thanks for the reviews, I will definitely check out your top ten authors and follow this site for new books!

  15. Hi. i was wondering if there is a way to put in a review request. This is the URL for my book. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00I0D9LQ8

    Thanks.

  16. Love your blog O:-)

  17. So love reading historical romances for thirty years. Love the Chase sister .

  18. Hello! Love regency romance and historical romance, and I love your list of top authors and what you’ve got to say about each! Impressive.

So, here’s my question… Do you know which are Indie and self-published authors??

I want to support those authors especially–I think any author is amazing for just being there and communicating and creating this entire universe that we get to enjoy.

Anyways…since you appear to be pretty knowledgeable on the subject,I thought I’d ask…! 😉
