Spotlight on Sarah Maclean

I love it when I find new authors online with new and exciting novels with interesting and unique premises.

This year so far, we have had Sara Lindsey, Courtney Milan, Alexandra Hawkins, Cara Elliot, Erica Ridley and now we have Sarah Maclean, who may be the best debuting romance author this year!

I accidentally came upon her while browsing the net one day, and discovered her novel-Nine Rules to Break Wen Romancing a Rake.

I immediately fell in love with the concept of the novel right away-it sounded fresh and interesting. A woman who makes a list of rules to break with the first one on her list being to kiss someone passionately!

A lady does not smoke cheroot.

She does not ride astride.

She does not fence or attend duels.

She does not fire a pistol, and she never gambles at a gentlemen’s club.

Lady Calpurnia Hartwell has always followed the rules, rules that have left her unmarried—and more than a little unsatisfied. And so she’s vowed to break the rules and live the life of pleasure she’s been missing. But to dance every dance, to steal a midnight kiss—to do those things, Callie will need a willing partner. Someone who knows everything about rule-breaking. Someone like Gabriel St. John, the Marquess of Ralston—charming and devastatingly handsome, his wicked reputation matched only by his sinful smile.

If she’s not careful, she’ll break the most important rule of all—the one that says that pleasure-seekers should never fall hopelessly, desperately in love . . .

Now that sounds good! And to top it all off, there is even a sexy stepback!

Mmmmm…. Now what girl in her right mind wouldn’t want to take THAT home?

And the book seems to be doing very well! A lot of rave reviews have been pouring in for the book which is always good to hear.

The Season Blog even has a wonderful little interview with Sarah who actually wrote a young adult novel called ‘The Season’ before this which is supposed to be really great as well.

The Book Binge also has a interview-

And of course readers can visit her blog where she seems currrently pre-occuied in making lists beginning with ‘Nine Things to..’

Lots of fun to read!

I love the header on her website 😀

Pay attention everyone! This is the historical romance of the moment! Hopefully I will have a review soon to join the countless others that are floating around.

Meanwhile, grab a copy of this book!
